Mickie J. Hamiter, MD graduated in 2013 from Louisiana State University Health Shreveport School of Medicine. He was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, a national organization of outstanding medical school students.
Dr. Hamiter completed post-graduate residency training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery.
After residency training, Dr. Hamiter served as faculty at LSU Health Shreveport for 4 years. During this time, he was the associate otolaryngology residency program director and responsible for creating the educational curriculum for the ENT resident trainees. He then decided to pursue further training in Otology/Neurotology.
Dr. Hamiter completed a two-year fellowship in Otology, Neurotology and Skullbase surgery at New York Presbyterian- Columbia/Cornell program in New York City. Dr. Hamiter started with the Tampa Bay Hearing and Balance Center August 2024.
